Who is body painting suitable for? What can you do with it? Can YOU book a body painting for something?
These are the questions I get asked a lot. So here's an answer (and a video!) to you, if you are interested in body painting for yourself or maybe for your friend or loved one! The most common question people ask me when they hear I´m a body painter, is what body painting is used for. It´s art most people have seen in some form somewhere, but it seems a little vague a concept why and what it is created for. Are you wondering about that too? My clientele is very mixed and I offer services for both private clients and businesses. Maybe you wouldn´t believe it, but Body painting is actually suitable for so many different things and different people. I wouldn´t like to categorise anyone, but I tried to divide my clients into rough segments.
So here are 6 customer groups who body painting is excellent for. 8/12/2018 Art for good causeI think this campaign we created in the spring deserves a blog post of its own. I got to create body painting for a non-smoking campaign of a little different kind. The campaign was aimed for expecting mums-to-be. It's surprising how many women still smoke when they are pregnant....
3/13/2018 Sweet baby bellies(LAST UPDATED: 15.1.2020)
There is something magical about being pregnant and many mums-to-be want to document that transitory time somehow. Very popular ways to do that are eg. having professional photos taken of you or doing a belly cast of your pregnant form. But I think the sweetest way to capture the beauty of pregnancy is Belly painting. It has become very popular around the world and it's no wonder - can you think of any other as creative and fun a way to celebrate your bump than have it become a piece of art! 9/27/2017 Belly painting on TV
Yesterday was a super day because there was a feature about belly painting on Puoli Seitsemän (Half Past Six) program on TV. It was an honor to be part of it and talk about this wonderful experience that more and more mothers-to-be want to have. :)
A few weeks ago I had one of the most memorable photoshoots - I had a chance to paint stunning pin-up and tattoo artist Sini Ariell for the Finnish daily newspaper Iltalehti. She is pregnant on her first child and glowing happiness. It was such an honour to share the day with her and our whole team, so much joy and good vibes that I felt I was flying afterwards.
