The most common question people ask me when they hear I´m a body painter, is what body painting is used for. It´s art most people have seen in some form somewhere, but it seems a little vague a concept why and what it is created for. Are you wondering about that too? My clientele is very mixed and I offer services for both private clients and businesses. Maybe you wouldn´t believe it, but Body painting is actually suitable for so many different things and different people. I wouldn´t like to categorise anyone, but I tried to divide my clients into rough segments.
So here are 6 customer groups who body painting is excellent for.

I think this campaign we created in the spring deserves a blog post of its own. I got to create body painting for a non-smoking campaign of a little different kind. The campaign was aimed for expecting mums-to-be. It's surprising how many women still smoke when they are pregnant....
Let's imagine there was a company specializing in vegetable food products and they wanted to promote them. How would they advertise something as generic as vegetables?
Well first they could come up with a good slogan. something that encourages people to eat more veggies. It could be something like "More vegetables one day a week means 52 better days in a year." That's very good. But how would they make their ad stand out from the crowds of tomatoes, salads and peppers that are the seen in vegetable commercials? They know good copy isn't enough. So what do they do to catch people's attention visually? Oh my god, this is going to be so fab! That was my first thought when producer Taina Sirola called me and asked me to join the team for a TV commercial for Veikkaus. I was so excited to hear the stars of the film and my models would be horses! I had never painted horses before, but I was up for the challenge.
These fun loving images were originally created for Finnish shoe brand Minna Parikka.
These pictures show how perfectly body painting can be used within fashion advertising to support the original designs. This campaign has been shared in numerous blogs around the world and it received the Golden Prize at Vuoden Huiput (The Best of Finnish Advertising and Design competition). By creating colourful images with body paint of course! That is exactly what Valio did. Valio is a Finnish dairy giant, whose super idea to promote their new flavoured fromage frais was wrapped around body painting. The advertising agency Bob the Robot contacted me for the campaign and asked me to help create the visuals promoting strawberry and vanilla. What a fun job and an amazing team of professionals, and the outcome I think certainly shows creativity, clever copy combined with matching paintings. Awesome!
